Most productivity tools focus on organizing an ever-growing pile of tasks, emails, and obligations. Nix It flips that model by giving you a structured framework to eliminate what doesnʼt matter so you can focus on what truly does. The system operates in three stages. First, Filter: every incoming item is evaluated to determine whether it actually needs to be tracked. If ignoring it carries no real consequence, itʼs eliminated immediately. Second, Distill: the remaining items are organized by ownership and surfaced only when relevant through time-based and event-based triggers, keeping unnecessary noise out of sight. Third, Eliminate: items are permanently removed through completion or deletion, with no artificial distinction between the two. Regular reviews ensure nothing lingers without purpose.
