About Ripdex: TCG Card Scanner
Ripdex turns your iPhone camera into a Pokemon card price scanner. Point it at any card and Ripdex identifies it in about a second, then shows the live TCGplayer market price, a 90-day price-history chart and 7 and 30-day trend arrows so you always know which way a card is moving. The recognition works on holo cards, full arts, reverse holos and Japanese printings, and it reads the set symbol and card number to tell near-identical reprints apart. Batch mode is built for people with real collections. You hold the phone over a binder and scan card after card, Ripdex chimes on every match and stacks the results, then saves the whole run to your collection in a single tap. There is no typing set names and no scrolling through long dropdowns. The database covers more than 47,000 cards across 560 plus sets, from the 1999 Base Set through the newest releases, with Japanese sets included, and prices are refreshed every day so the numbers you see match what cards are actually selling for. Once cards are in your collection, Ripdex tracks the total value over time, shows how each set is progressing toward completion, and helps you decide when to hold, sell or trade. The app is rated 4.7 stars on the App Store and is free to download on iOS, with a premium tier that unlocks unlimited scanning for heavy users. The getripdex.com website adds a free price guide and full set lists covering more than 20,000 cards for anyone researching values before they buy.
